We’ve been having a lot of dust in the highveld lately. This kind of weather tends to create a lot of eye problems such as inflamed Pterygia (red patch on the white part of the eye), allergic conjunctivitis (itchy, red and teary eyes) and dry eyes (sandy, gritty and teary eyes). Do your best to protect your eyes by wearing spectacles or sunglasses when outdoors, keep your windows closed and consult if you are suffering from any of the mentioned symptoms.
